8 Months Old

Adalee, you are 8 months on this month!!  Where is the time going?  You are growing so fast.  You have mastered the art of crawling (started crawling at 7 1/2 months) and crawling so fast.  You love that now you can go anywhere you want.  You also have mastered the art of pulling up and can walk as long as you have something to hold onto.   You love being independent, but you also loving be carried.  You reach out for us to pick you up and I love that.  You are talking more and more and I love hearing you talk.  You have mastered clapping and pretty much do it on command.  You love being outside and playing in the dirt.  Lucy and you are becoming best of friends and Lucy loves that you feed here. Lucy loves playing with you and you just laugh and laugh. It is the cutest thing. You have mastered the art of sticking out your tongue and you think it is the funnest thing.

Interesting things that you have done this month:

When you get mad, you make the r sound with your tongue and it sounds like you are talking Spanish.
You tried noodles for this first time.
You can now hold your sippy cup on your own and actually drink from it.
You tried multi grain cheerios for the first time and loved them.

Adalee, you are such a blessing and I love you more everyday.  We are so thankful that the Lord gave you to us!  Your are the best gift that I have received, besides my salvation!! Praise the Lord!!

7 Months Old

Adalee you are 7 months old!  I can not believe it!  You are growing so fast!  Some new things that you have started this month:  You are starting to army crawl instead of rolling everywhere to get what you want.  Every morning when I come to get you, you wrap your arms around my neck and give me a good hug!  I look forward to it! I am not sure if you know exactly what you are doing, but I love it!!  You have decided that yogurt melts are you snack of choice.  You have mastered the art of feeding yourself even if it gets all over your face and seat.  You have also started getting better about using your sippy cup.  You can stand up if you have something to old on to.  You are becoming quite the social bug, but still a little shy with new people.  You love to smile and are starting to talk a whole lot more.  You have started using the letter D while trying to talk.  You are an absolute joy and I love you so much!!!  I thank the Lord for everyday that I have with you!!

Funny story:

With this warm weather being here in March (yes, March), I wanted to take Adalee out for her first big girl swing ride.  I googled parks in the Cary area and I found one close to us that said they had a playground.  So I got off work and we packed up Adalee and were on our way.  Side note:  When I think of a playground, they always have swings.  Well, we get to the park and the only thing that it had,  was a play yard.  No swings in sight.  We went to the next little play yard, the same thing.  I was so heartbroken.  I had dressed Adalee up all cute and Andy had charged the camera so we could take a bunch of pictures of her first ride.  No such luck.  Her first ride will have to wait.  When it does happen, I promise to post pictures.  :)
